Our IoT Distance Measuring Wheel has been designed specifically for the sugarcane farming industry. It is a complete solution for automating wage calculations for cane-cutting staff.
The wheel is not a stand alone unit. It needs a base station to function. The number of wheels that can connect to a base station is limitless.
Cane cutters are paid weekly based on the number of meters of cane they have harvested. Capturing, consolidating, and processing this data to calculate wages can become a cumbersome task, especially when managing a large workforce. This product eliminates that headache. A touch tag reader identifies each employee, while the measuring wheel records the distance harvested. Using the keypad, the employee enters the number of rows (lines) cut. The system automatically multiplies the distance by the number of lines and uploads the data to the cloud. On payday, simply click “Export to Excel” to generate a report showing the wages owed to each employee.
